a.26.56.txt It is further ordered adjudged and decreed that the proposition of J. Douglass Brown to locate the School Lands of Kerr County be and the same is hereby received and a contract be entered into in the following words to wit: The State of Texas County of Kerr We Jonathan Scott Chief Justice & E.A. McFadin, T.A. Saner, George M. Ridley Commissioners of said County, contract and agree with J.DOUglass Brown of Austin Texas to locate the School Lands of said county, being four Leagues in quantity in tracts of one half League each at fifty dollars per tract, to get Patents upon the land so located and upon the return of the Patents for the whole of the same, to the Chief Justice of said county within twelve months, to pay him four hundred dollars for all, out of the Treasury of the county.
