It is ordered, adjudged and decreed that the Assessor &
Collector of Kerr County be and he is hereby allowed to
receive county script for county taxes from any person
owing such tax. Provided said script shall have been
issued to the person who proposes to pay said tax therewith.
And further provided that the Assessor & Collector shall
in no case be allowed to enter any credit on said script
or give a receipt for the same unless it shall be wholly
paid into the county, neither shall the Assessor & Collector
be required to pay out any money as a balance due on said
script. And further provided that all drafts drawn by a
District Judge presiding in the county, District Clerk or
any order under the hand of the Chief Justice. Attested
by the Clerk and seal of the Court shall be and they are
hereby considered county script.
