Rufus Brown be and is hereby appointed Overseer of the
road leading from San Antonio to Fredericksburg. And to
be worked (?) from the county line of Comal to the county
line of Gillespie by James S. Brown. Crossing of the
Guadalupe River and the said Overseer to have all the
hands liable to road duty from Upton line survey No. 22
to the lower line of the county
