a.61.60.txt Election held on the 31st day of March A.D. 1860 for the purpose of moving the County Seat of said county - The election return from Precinct No. 1 was handed into Court and on the ground that the tickets were not. Returns and the poll Books not been sealed up, they were thrown out of Court. The return from Precinct No. 2 having been handed into Court they were examined, there was 78 votes for Comfort and 21 votes for Kerrsville and by the return from said Precinct Comfort was declared the County Seat by a legal majority of two-thirds.
