each daya work fur their services rendered in holding the election on November 3rd, 1914,

°2 ~ ~ The General Laws of the State of Tessa passed by the 33rd
Legislature, Official Court Stenographer e, Chap. 119, 3eo. 8 provides tLat in districts'
of tYo or more oounti~.a the official ahorthaud reporter shall receive a salary of X1500.00
per annum, to be paid monthly by the counties of the district in proportion to the number
of weeks provided by law for holding court in the respeativa counties. Provided that in a
district wher eln in any county in the district the term ma,y continue until the business
'tb disposed of, e~ich county shall pay in proportlon to the time court is actually held
in such county.
By s?soul stet of the Legislature Sa 1913, the terms of District Court for the
different countic~.s composing the 38th Jndloisl District, were fixed ea follows: %endall
County E weeks, 3avals Gounty ! weeks, Uvalde County 4 weeks, Medina County 3 weeks,
Sanders County 3 weeks, Edwards County 2 weeks, Real County 2 weeks, Kerr County 3 weeka*
This makes 42 court ~raeka for the year, and the following atatemint ie submitted, showing
the amount that should be paid moath~y to the official Shorthand reporter of the 38th
