On this the 15th day of November, 1916, came on to be oonaidared
the matter of directing the declaration of a Quarantine against the town of Center Point,
Texas, for the purposes of preventing the spread of Scarlet Fever, which ie alleged and
proven by evidence introduced that Scarlet Fever ie prevalent among the inhabitants of said
town of Center Yoint, apd that said Scarlet Fever ie a fatal disease and extremely dangerou
to man-kind, and eeaily and readily aommunioable arxl transmissible and that there is a grey
and imminent danger that it will be introduced into and spread throughdut the County of
unless the same is prevented by s Quarantine.

It ie therefore ordered by the Court that a quarantine be and the
same ie hereby declared in said town of Center Point, Texas in reapeot to said disease of
3oarlet y'ever and against exposure of people do and from said town pt Center Point, who ~g
have been eapoead to same, or who maybe infected with or that have been oz auapeoted or hav
ing bean exposed to said diaeaeo of Scarlet Fever, which is hereby prohibited, and Dr. E.E.
Palmer, the Health Officer of this County, together with the corporation of the Looel Phy-
aioiana of the town of Cantor point, are di rented to at onpe, investigate, and to deolere
aeSd Quarantine in reapeot of said disc ass of Scarlet Fe vet in the town of Center Point, if
they $eem deoeaeary and wlth the assistance of the Schrelff of Karr County, Tezae, and his
depdtlea to take immedlate steps by guards and otherwise to iaunediately enforce and oonstan -
ly maintain same, said quarantine, until each time as the same may ba by order of this
Court or in the disoreation of the County Health office of thle County suspended or removed
