Oourt met as	a Board of Equalization and the Assessor presented the
Inventories of property rended	to him for the year 1916, and upon careful examination of
said Inventories, It is ordered	by the Court that the following property owners be notified
that the Court desires to raise	their assessments for the year 1917, and to appear on the
4th day of June A.D. 1917 at th	e Court Rouse Sn Kerrville, Texea, at 10 O'olook A.M., and
show curie why same should not	be ralaed, Viz:--

In reply to requests made by ConUnitteea of the Kerr County Civio League regarding
the removal o£ lumber, vahiolea and other unslghtly irspedim en is from the Court House
Grour,da, the laying of walks therein and granting the League permission to beautify same;
the Court upon suoh requests makes the following statements acrd orders:
1st: All lwnber, trash and other unsightly things 3n the Cou rt House Yard not
•in sotual use and under the supervision of the Court are hereby ordered removed and F. A.
%arger, (Commissioner) is hereby authorized to superintend the removal of sa^re.
2nd: Permission is hereby grsntad the Lad lea of the Le nbue to beautify the Court
' House grounds as per their request.
3rd: Because of the strengency of the timos and the pressing need for the out-
lay of the public money for thln~s rro re material, the Court does not at this time deem it
wise to make an actual outlay of money for the Luilding of walksin the Court Housc Yard.
Although the personnel of this Count realize *. hat such i:eproverent would greatly add to the
beauty and son ve nie.noe of the Court House Pr ec: is es.

~' The Court hopes to be in position to make this improvement at no distant date
~~ without any great out ley oY actual money. Each ISer.:ber of this Court desires to assure the

Committee a Copy of this Order.
