4 ~L Court met as a Board oY Equalization and the Assessor presented the
Inventories of property ranged to hire for the year 1916, and upon careful examination of
Bain Inv errt orics, It is ordered by the Court that the following property owners be ^otified

£.. that the Court desires to raise their assessments for the year 1917, and to e~ppear on the
4th day of June A.D. 1917 at the Court House in Kerrville, Texas, at 10 O'olook A.M., and
show curie why same should not be raised, Viz:--

In reply to requests made by Corr;mittees of the Kerr County. Civic League regarding
the removal of lumber, vehioles and other unsightly impedim eats from the Cau rt 13ouse
Grounds, the laying of walks therein and granting the League permission to beautify same;
the Court upon such requests makes the following atatemerrta and orders:
_- 1st: Ail lmnber, trash and other unsightly things in the Court House Yard not
in antusl use and under tt:e supervision of the Court are hereby ordered removed and F. A.
%arger, (Comr.:iaeioner) is hereby authorized to superintend the rer,:oval of same.
2nd: Perm isaion is hereby granted the Lediea of the Le abue to beautify the Court
House grounds as per their request.
3rd: Because of the strer:gency of the tirws and the pressing need for the out-
lay of the publio money for thins more ma terlel, the Court does not at this time deem it
wise to malo; an eatual outlay of money for the building of walks in the Court House Yard.
Although the personnel of this Cotiu•t realize *.}mt such i^r*rovec:ent would greatly add to the

~', The Court hopes to be in position to make this imFrovement at no distant date

Ladies of the Civiu League that ha allreciates the spirit of eo-operation and kindnoss in
whioh these requests vrere made and the Clerk of the Court is requested to furnish eaoh
