1911, and House Bill Number 58, passed by the 35th Tezas'Legialature, 1917.

The Commieaionara Court oY Kerr County being desirous oY promoting a more profitable
.aathod oY agrioulture and oY assisting in the development of more comfortable and oonvenient
rural homes in the County, is of the opinion that a home demonstration agent should be am-
ployed to assist in said work, and inasmnoh as the II. S. Department oY Agriculture, throw
the Extension Service of the A. and ;1. College of Texas will oonduot Extension work in this
County provided the Commiasionera' Court oY the County will oooperate finanoially, the
Court is of the opinion that it should make an appropriation to supplement the Yunds oY the
~ctenaion Service oY the .,. and it. College oY `loses in oonduoting aunh work in acoordanoe wi
the general laws of Tazas.
It is, therefore, ordered by this Court that the sum OY 01200.00) twelve Hundred
be appropriated and the same le hereby appropriated out oY the Yunda oY Kerr County, t o
assist in promoting a hatter method oY agrioulture and the development oY more oomfortable
and oozrvenient rural homes in Kerr County.
Th1a appropriation shall bosoms akailable on June 1, 1927, or as soon thereafter as
tho Extension 3arvioe oY the A. and M. College oY Texas shall plane an agent in ea id County
Yor duty, and shall be paid out in monthly installments to said agent upon written order
only signed by an authorized representative oY said Extension Servloe.
This appropriation shall be continuous until the Canmisaioners' Court or the Exten-
sion 3ervioe of the n. and M. Collage oY Texas shall decide to discontinue er.~ e, and the
order oY disaoniinuanoe shall be passed only during the month oY Sprit or drgv, which time
will be near the olose oY the season and the year's work. Otherwise this order and agreement
shall remain in effect Yrom year to gear. The Commisaionera' Court or the Eatension Service
