On this the 19th day oP Lsy, A. D. 1933, the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County
being duly assembled in the Courthouse at Kerrville, Texas, in special session, Dame on for
consideration of said Commisaionere' Court of Kerr County, the petition of D, E, McLeod,
praying that certain property described in said petition be exempted from all State and County
tease, and after s hearing of said petition and of evidence in support thereof, the Commis-
aionere' Court of Kerr County Panda it to be afoot that D. E. Moheod, on or about the 10th
dqv of ,~yy, t. D. 1925, purchased $ house and lot st 1513 Jefferson Street in Kerrville,
Kerr County, Tease, more particularly deaeribad as:
Lot Humber Twelve (12), in Block Ho. 98, of Jos. 1, Tiay'a iddition to the
City of Kerrville, in Kerr County, Texas,
and that the said D, E, McLeod ie a veteran of the World War, having served in the IInited
States irmy, lmarioan Expeditionary Foroea for shout 21 months, and that said property eo
purchased by him was whol],p paid for with funds received by the said D, E, McLeod from the
Treasurer of the United States of imerioe, by virtae of the World War Beterane lot of 1924;
also known ea Chapter Humber lo, of Title Humber 38 oY the United Staten Code lnnotated; such
Panda having been paid by way of Disability Compensation and War Hick Insurance ae provided
for in said tat, and especially in Part II, Part III and Part IP of said lot, and the Com-
miasioners' Court of Karr County further finds that the identical funds received by the said
D. E. McLeod, in payment of said Disability Gompen9ation and War Hick Insurance, were used
to pay for said property and that Seetirm 4b4 of Chapter 10, Title 28, of the United States
Code annotated expressly provides that the Disability Compensation and War Risk Insurance paid
by virtue of said World War Veterans tot *ahall De exempt from all tazation,°
