Thar afore, upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted, it is ordered by the
Court that Luke L. Ballard be and is hereby employafl as County Agent for Kerr County for the
gear, beginning September 1st, 1939, and the sum of $1000,00 per annum be and .is hereby
appropriatsd and set aside out of the Road & Bridge Fund of Kerr County for the purpose of
paying the Couatq's portion of such County Agent la Salary, monthly, for the period beginning
January let, 1940 and until September let, 1940, same shall be paid by the County Clerk unto
said Agent in equal monthly inatallme nts of $83.33 each payable on or alter the first dny oP
cash and every month beginning January let, 1940 and ending September let, 1940,

On this the 11th day of December, A. D. 1939, at a ~o1at meeting oP the Commissioners'
Court oP Kerr County, Texas, all members present, and the Hoard of Dlreotora of the Kerrville
Chamber of Commerce, with the following members of the Board of Directors being present,
namely, G. C. MoCoy, Dent Taylor, Walter Re iffert, W. H. Brown, Sr., Dr. L. H. Webb, J. D.
Patton, A. McJimsey, Wm. 0. Harwell, L. T. Davis and Aug. Henke, a motlon was made, seoondad
end unanimously adopted that hereafter any matters pertaiping to Highway or Highways in Kerr
County, Tessa, in which the State Highway Department might have to be consulted for State Aid,
or various other matters in which the Stato Highway Department might be interested, that the ~,~
program shall ba and will be prepared by the Commissioners' Court of Kerr Chanty, Tesa s, and
then submitted to the Board of Directors of the Kerrville Chamber of Commeroe Por their
