This 11th day of March, A. D. 1940, came on to be examined by the Court the monthly
expense reports of E. H. Nichols, Tea Assessor and Colleotor for the month of January, 1940,
showing an actual and necessary expense of jj76.67, and Por the month of February, 1940, show-
ing an actual and necessary expense of X176.00, incurred by him in the conduct of his office
during said months of January and February, 1940, and it appearing to the Court that said Tax
Assessor and Collector is entltl ad to the expenditure of all the items therein listed, said
reports be and aro hereby approved for the full amount by the Court.

and holden a Special Term of the Coa~iasioners' Court of Kerr County, at the Court House there
of, in the City of Kerrville, Texas, officers present:
John S. Atkins, County Judge,
Henry Eckstein, Commissioner, Precinot No. 1,
D. D. Beard, .. Commissioner, Precinct No. 2,
and the Court having been regularly opened, the following proceedings were had, to-wit:
N0. 2187 and 2188. ORDER DECLARING OFFICE OP' CONSTABLE OF PRECINCT N0. 2 VACANT AND APPOINT-
MENT OF CONSTABLE TO FILL THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF SAID OFFICE.
On this 16th day of March, A. D. 1940, it appearing to the Court that the office of
Constable in end for Justiae's Precinct No. Two of Kerr County, Tezea, should be deolared va-
cant end a new Constable appointed by the Court to fill the unexpired term of said office.
Whereupon, on motion duly made, seconded and unanimaouly adopted, be and it is hereby
ordered by the Court that the offioe of Constable in and for Justioe's Preainet No. 2 of Kerr
County shall be in all things considered vacant, and that H. L. Finley, being qualified end
desirous to serve out the unexpired term of said office, 8a and is hereby appointed by the
Court to fill the unexpired term of the office of Constable in and for Justice's Precinct No.
2 of Kerr County, Texas, and he is hereby directed to qualify Yor said office by making bond
the cum of ,j1000.00 and taking the oath of offioe as required by law.
