This 11th day of March, A. D. 1940, came on to be examined by the Court the monthly
expense reports of E. H. Nichols, Taa Assessor and Collector for the month of January, 1940,
showing an actual and necessary expense of $78.87, and for the month of February, 1940, show-
ing an actual and neoessary expense of X178.00, incurred by him in the conduct of his office
during said months of January and February, 1940, end it appearing to the Court that said Tax
Assessor and Collector is entitled to the expand Store of all the items therein listed, Bald
reportabe and aco hereby approved for the full amount by the Court.

and holden a Special Term of the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, at the Court +iouse there
of, in the City of Kerrville, Texas, officers present:

D. D. Beard, .. Commissioner, Precinct No. 2,
and the Court having been regularly opened, the following proceedings were had, to-wit:
N0. 2187 and 2188. ORDER DECLARING OFFICE OF CONSTABLE OF PRECINCT N0. 2 VACANT AND APPOINT-
MENT OF CONSTABLE T'0 FILL THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF SAID OFFICE.
On this 16th day of March, A. D. 1940, it appearing to the Court that the office of
Constable in end for 7uatioe's Precinct No. Two of Kerr County, Teaea, should be deolared va-
cant and a new Constable appointed by the Court to fill Lhe unexpired term of said office.
Whereupon, on motion duly made, aeoonded and unanimaouly adopted, be and it is hereby
ordered by the Court that the office of Constable in and Por Justioe's Preoinot No. 2 of Kerr
County shall be in all things considered vacant, and that H. L. Finley, being qualified and
desirous to serve out the unexpired term of said offioa, be end is hereby appointed by the
Court to 1311 the uneapired term of the offioa of Constable in and for Justice's Precinct No.
2 of Kerr County, Taxes, and he is hereby directed to qualify for said office by making bond
the sum of ,1000.00 and taking the oath of offioa as required by law.
