D. 1940, there wee begun and holden a Regular Term of the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, at the Court House thereof, in the town of Kerrville, Tezas, of flcers present: John S. Atkins, County Judge Henry Eckstein, Commissioner, Precinct No. 1, D. D. Beard, .. Cammisainner, Preolnot No. 2, Wm. Karger, Commiaeloaer, Prec Suet No. 3, T. J. Moore, .. Commissioner, Prec lnet No. 4, A. F. Moore, Sheriff and Jno. R. Leavell, County Clerk, and the Court having been regularly opened, the following proceedings were had, to-wit: N0. 2213. ALLOWANCE OF CLAIMS AND ACCOUNTS. This 13th day of May, A. D. 1940, came on to be examined and audited by the Court, the various claims end accounts filed against Kerr County and its respective Commissioners' Pre- cinota ainoe last term of the Court, all of which accounts and claims were approved by the Court for payment by the County Clark in amounts end out of respeotive funds sa shown, by the minutes oY accounts allowed for Kerr County, Teaea, which are made a pert of this order. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 2214. APPLICATION OF LOWER COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY TO BE EXEMPT FROM TAXES. On this the 13th day of May, 1940, came on to be heard the application of the Lower Colorado River Authority to peas certain resolutions was raby the properties of said Authority would be exempt from taxation., and Sn lieu of said teaation said Authority would make dona- tions wh iah would equal the amount of taxes paid yearly by said Authority. Said pr opertiea having been acquired from Lhe Texas Power end Light Company. That said Author ltg claims to be en sge ncy oP the State similar to a County or other public agency. And the Commissioners' Court having had a joint meeting with the Bon. W. A. Fawcett, Mayor of the City of Kerrville and H. A. Moore, Superintendent of the Kerrville Independent School Distriot, a motion wen made, seconded and unanimously adopted that the County of Kerr co-operate with the City of Kerrville and Kerrville Independent School Diatriat to endeavor to keep said properties of sai Author Sty on the tea rolls end collect taxes. It is therefore ordered by the Court that is obedienoe to said motion the County of Kerr with the City of Kerrville and Eerrvil3e;,independent School District will co-operate/to the fullest extent to keep the grope rtiea of said Authority on the Tai rolls and to collect taxes for same, and that said donations offered to be made by said Authority would no4 be equal to the taxes to be collected annually from aeid Authority. a ~ o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 2215.
