D. 1940, there was begun and holden a Regular Term of the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, at the Court House thereof, in the town of Kerrville, Texea, offloers present: , Tohn S. ALLOWANCE OF CLAIMS AND ACCO'I7NT5. This 13th day of May, A. D. 1940, came on to De examined sad audited by the Court, the various olaims and accounts filed against Kerr County and its respective Commissioners' Pre- cinota einoe last term oP the Court, all of wh ioh accounts and claims were approved by the Court for payment by the County Clerk in amounts and out of respective funds ea shown, by the minutes of accounts allowed for Kerr County, Taxes, which are made a part of this order. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 2214. APPLICATION OF LOWER COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY TO BE EXEM3T FROM TAXES. On this the 13th day of May, 1940, came on to be heard the application of the Lower Colorado River Authority to pass certain resolutions whereby the propert lea of said Authority would be exempt from taxation, end Sn lieu of said teaetion said Authority would make dona- tions which would equal the amount oP taaea paid yearly by said Authority. Said properties having been acquired from the Texea Power end Light Company. That said Authority alaims to be en age Hoy of the State similar to a County or other publio agency. And the Commissioners' Court Having had a point meeting with the Bon. Vl. A. Fawcett, Mayor of the City of Kerrville and H. A. Moore, Superintendent of the Kerrville Independent School Distriot, a motion was made, seconded and unanimously adopted that the County of Kerr co-operate with the City of Kerrville and Kerrville Independent School Distrint to ahdeavor to keep said properties of sai 'Authority on the tae rolls and collect taxes. It is therefore ordered by the Court that in obed ienoe to said motion the County of Kerr with the City of Kerrville end barrvil3e;;inflependant School Diatriot will co-operate/to the fullest extent to keep the properties of said Authority on the Tait rolls and to collect texas for same, and that said donations offered to be made by said Authority would nay be equal to the taxes to be collected annually from said Authority. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 2215. APPROVAL OF COUNTY CLERK'S MONTHLY EXPENSE REPORT. This 13th day of May, A. D. .1940, came onto be examined by the Court the monthly ezpense report of Jno. R. Leevell, County Clerk for the month of April, 1940, showing an actual and neoeaaery exp enae of $201.58 incurred by him in the co nd not of hie office during said month of April, 1940, and it appearing to the Court that said Couaty Clerk is entitled to the expendi- ture of all the items therein listed, said report be and Se hereby approved for its Pull emoun Nby the Court. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 2216.
