STATE OF TEXAS, ( IN COMMISSIONERS' COURT.
70UNTY OF KERH. ( Pursuant to the provieloaa of Section 40, Article 888 oP the Penal Code
of the State of Tezas there Se hereby ordered an eleotion to be held in Justice Precinct No. 2
of this County oa the 28th dny of September, 1940, for the purpose of voting on the question o
"For Prohib it Sag the Sale of Beer oontaiaing Aloohol not eaoaeding Four (4,~) per oentum by
We Sght" and "Against Prohibiting the Sala of Beer ooLtainin.g Aloohol not eza ceding Four (4%)
per centum by Weight".
Said election shall be held on said date at the regular voting places within the above
designated area, and the offioare of eleotion heretofore appointed by this Court on the 13th
_ day of February, 1940, and 9usl if ied under the laws of this State to hold eleot ions at the
respective voting places in said Kerr County, Texas, be and they era her aby directed to hold
th ie election. It ie further ordered that the Clerk of this Court shall post or cause to be
posted at least one (1) not ioe of this order in each voting precinct within the limits of said
designs tad area for at least six (8) days prior to the aforesaid 28th day of September, 1940.

AGAINST PROHIBITING SALE OF HEER CONTAINING AIAOHOL NOT EXCEEDING FOUR (4;fi) PER CENTOM HY
Those voters favoring the proposition oa the ballot will erase the "Aga in at" proposal by
drawing a peaoll line through it. Those voters that oppose the proposal shall erase the ^For"
proposition by drawing a peno it line through it. The Clerk of this Court shall furnish the
preaid ing offioer oP each voting box within the above designated area, a number of ofYio ial

Said election shall be he Yd in compliance with the General Election Laws of Texas, unless

otherwise epecifiad.
