On this the 14th day of July, 1941, there wsa held a Joint meeting with the Berrville
Chamber of Commerce and the City of Kerrville, for the purpose of dieo us eioa is regardn to the
Air Poet Caaetruotion in the near future in Kerr County, Tezea. After due deliberation Dad by
said Chamber of Commerce and City of Kerrville end the Commissioners' Court and their respec-
tive repreaentaLivea it was uasaimously adopted and ordered by said reapeotive organizations
that a delegation of three men should go to Washington, li. C., and oontaot Charlee L, South,
Representative of this Dietriot and have said Representative make an appointment with the
Civil Aieenautio Administration for the purpose of obtaining all information poealDle in re-
garde to the looal Airport, and sled the requirsmeate to be had or made by the three organizn-
tione above mentioned Yor the purpose of obtaining Aid is aeouring the neoeaeary ground end
location for said Airport. It was further adopted sad ordered that John S. Atkins, County
Judge of Kerr County, Teaea, A. P. Hancock, City Manager of the City of Kerrville, Teaea, and
Gober Gibson, Postmaster of Kerrville, Tezea, be and the same are hereby delegated to make aei
strip to Washington for the purpoaee above meat ioaed. It 1s Sur ther ordered by the Court that
Kerr County will pay the ezpeneee of said John S. Atkins, out of the General fund, neoeaeary
for making said trip. And it 1e further ordered by the Commiasionera' Court that said Judge
Atkins is granted permisaion by the said Court to leave the State of Teaas for the length of
Lime required to make said appointments in Washington end for the purpose of obtaining all of
Lhe Snformat ion neoeaeary and required oP Rerr County, Tezas, in the building of said local
Airport.
