Oa this the 14th day of July, 1941, there was held a ,joint meeting wi tb the Kerrville
Chamber of Commeroe and the City of Kerrville, for the purpo ae of dianusaion in regards to the
Air ?oat Coaetruotion in the near future in %arr County, Tezea. After due deliberation had by
said Chamber of Commeroe and City of Kerrville and the Commissioners' Court sad their respeo-
tive repro sentativea St wee unanimously adopted and ordered by said reapeotive organizations
that a delegation of three men should go to Wash ingtoa, u. C., and aontaot Charles L. South,
Representative of this Dletriot and have said Representative make an appointment with the
Civil Aieetleutlo Administration for the purpose of obtaining all information possible in re-
gards to the loosl Airport, and el eo the requirements to be had or made 6y the three organiza-
tions above mentioned for the purpose of obtaining ASd in eeo wring the neoeesary ground end
location for said Airport. It wee further adopted and ordered that John S. Atkiae, County
dodge of Kerr County, Tezea, A. P. Hanoock, City SEeasBer of the City of Kerrville, Tezas, end
Gober Gibson, Poatma star of Kerrville, Tezas, be and the same are hereby delegated to make aei
trip Lo Washington for the purpoaea above mentioned. It is further ordered by the Court that
Kerr County will pay the ezpeaeea of said John 5, Atkins, out of the General Fund, neoeesary
e for making said Lrip. And it 1e further ordered by the Commissioners' Court that said Judge
Atkiae Sa granted pe rmisaion by the Bald Court to leave the State of Tezas for the length of
time required to make said appointments in Washington and for the purpose of obtaining all of
the informet ion neoeesary and required of Kerr County, Tezea, Sn the building of said looel
Airport.
