On this the 14th day of June, 1943, came on to be considered by the Court the matter of the resignation of Jim Weatherby as County Attorney of Kerr County, Texas, submitted on May 13 1943, and the appointment of a successor to said office; and it appearing to the court that t:ir. Weatherby is now on active duty in the Army of the United States and that it is impossible for him under such circumstances to fulfill the duties of said office; that it would be to the best interest oP the people of Kerr County for the resignation of Mr. Weatherby to be accepted and the office of County Attorney of Kerr County, Texas, be declared vacant. And it further appearing to the Court that L. W. Pollard, a citizen of Kerr County, Te xa is a duly qualified and practicing attorney end in all ways qualified to fulfill the duties of the County Attorney's of Pice. Therefore, upon motion duly made, seconded end unanimously adopted, it is ordered that t resignation of Jim Weatherby ae County Atto may of Kerr County, Texas, be and is hereby accept the County Attorney's Office be declared vacant, and that L. W. Pollard be and is hereby ap- pointed County Attorney of Kerr County, Taxes, for the unexpired term ending December 31st, 1944, and it is further ordered that &7r. On this 14th day oP June, 1943, came on to be considered by the Court the matter of the pledge Contrnot entered into by the Chas. Schreiner Bank (Unincorporated) ea County Depository at the February term of this Court, wherein said Chas. Schreiner Bank (Lm incorporated pledged securities in the amount of X60,000.00. And it appearing to the Court that said amount of 560,000.00 is insufficient end that the amount' of said Pledge Contract should be increased from X60,000.00 to X100,000.00. And it further appearing to the Court that the said Chas. Schreiner Sank (Unincorporated) is desir- ious of entering into a new pledge Contract in the sum of X100,000.00, therefore upon motion duly made, seconded, aryl unanimously adopted, it is or dared that the sledge contract of the Chas. Schreiner Bank (Unincorporated) as Depository for county funds be and ie hereby increased from X80,000.00 to X100,000.00 end that said Chas.
