~P the uppoir t:nent or employment of a Veteran's County 3erv ice Officer as contemplated by
3o use Hill Number 368, Acts of the 48th Legislature, Regular Se scion, 1943. And it apr,ear Sng
to the Court that the Commissioner's Court a[d Citizens of Bandana County, Texas, are desirous
of cooperating with the Commissioner's Court of Kerr County, Texas, in the 3oint employment of
a Veteran's County Service Officer; the expanse of ss~ to be pro-rated between said counties
on a basis of the number of persons serving in the armed forces of the United States from eaph
of said counties.
And it further appearing to the Court that Rufus 0. Freeman is a person possessing all th
quel ifications required for such Service Off is er and 1s willing to accept such appointment and
employment Pox s salary oP ~SC.OG per month plus a reasonable traveling expanse.
T1iEHEFORE upon motion duly made, seconded ¢nd unan imouely adopted 1t is ordered by the
Court that the said Rufus 0. Freeman be and is bar eby appoln tad and employed es Veteran's Count
Service Officer, serving Kerr and Band era Counties, Texas, at a sal pry of $50.G0 a month to b6
paid out of the Ge ne rel Fund of Kerr County, Texas.
It is further ordered by the Court that the County Tre asvrer of Kerr County, Texas, shall
from month to month estimate the pro-rate share of said salary and expense tc be paid by Bender
County, Texas, and forward a bill for such cost and axpe nse to the County Clark of Bend era
County for payment.
It is further ordered by the Court that the County Clerk of Kerr County, Texas, forward
a certified copy of Lhia order to the Commissioner's Court of Bandera County.
