be held cn the 29th day of June, 1946, at School House in said Hunt Common School Di strict No.
5 of this County to determine whether a majority of the legally qu alif led property taapa ying
voters oP that District desire to increase the tea supplemen Ling tta State School Fund apport-
ion ed to ea id District, and to determine whether the Commisa io Hers Court of this County shall
be authorized to leay, assess and collect annua lly a tax of and at the rate of X1.50 on the
X100 valuation of taxable property in said District for said purpose. Allen Townsend is hereb
appointed Presiding Officer for said election, and he shall select two judges and two clerks
to assist him in holding the same, and he shall, wit hi^ five days after said election has beet
held, make due return th ereoP to the Commissioners Court of this County as is required by law
for holding a genezal election. All persons who are legally qualified voters of this State
end of this county and who are resident pm party tax-payers in said district and who own tax-
able property in said district and who have duly rendered the same Por taxation shall be en-
titled to vote at said election, and all voters who favor taxation Por school purposes shall
have written or printed on their ballots the words:
" FOR INCREASE OF SCHOOL TAX. "

" AGAINST INCREASE OF SCHOOL TAX. "

On this the 10th day of June, A. D. 1946, it appearing to the Court that a County Surveyo~.
be'iAppointed to fill the Staoancy of said office, due to the death oP A. L. Starkey, County
Surveyor; that said office be declared vacant, and a new County Surveyor be appointed by the
Court to fill the unexpired term of said office.
WHEREUPON, on motion duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted, be and it is hereby
ordered by the Court that the office of County Surveyor of Kerr County shall be in all things
considered vacant, and that F. M. Kuykendall being qualified and desirous to serve out the
unexpired term of said office, be and he ie hereby appointed by the Court to Pill the unexpire~
term of the office of County Surveyor of Kerr County, Texas, and he is hereby directed to
qualify for said office by making bond in the sum of $2500.00 and taking the oath of oPPi ce as

by Lhe vari us camps of Kerr County, represented by Mr. Walter Saenge r, Secretary of the Chamb
of Commerce, for the employment of a Sanitary Engineer, for a period of three months, beRinni
June 12th and ending September 12th, Por the purpose of inspecting and mai ntainiag proper / ~~
sanitary conditions in the various camps of Kerr County.
It appearing to the Court, that the State Health Department of Texas is w311ing to loan "
to Kerr County for this purpose a duly qualified Sani ffiry Engineer, at a salary of X300.00 ~~
a month for the three months period; and, it further appearing to the Court that the ve.rio us
camps of Kerr County were ready end willing to contribute one-half of said salary fox the thre
mon the period and it further appearing to the Court that the employment of said Sanitary Eng,tn er
is necessary and would be oY material advantage to the entire citizenship of Kerr County.
WHEREUPON MOTION duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted, it is ordered that the pro-
position of said camps be accepted, with the uadera tending that said camps are to pay Sato th
County Treasury of Kerr County, Texas, the sum oP 450.00, Aepresen ting their one-half of She
salary m be paid said Engineer for a period oP three months and that upon the pa yme at of said
X450.00 into the County Treasury of Kerr County, then and in that event, the County Clerk is
directed and auffi orized to pay to said Engineer the sum of =300.00 per month, out of the Gen er 1
Fund of Kerr County, to be paid in equal monthly inata llmen to of X300.00 eaoh on the 12th day
of duly, August and Sep temper. In the avant any of said camps should for any reason fail or
refuse to pay their pro-rata share of said salary ex penes, then and in that event the term of
employment of said Sanitary Engineer shall be lessened or decreased in proportion to vh ich the
