This the 13th flay of June, A, D. 1949, came on to be considered the request of IDrl Gar re t,
Sheriff of Kerr County, Tea sa, to employ Alton Smith, a Spe oiel Deputy Sheriff, during the per od
of July 1, 2, 3 and 4th at The Kerrville Jaycee Hodeo perfarmanoea. Aad it appearing to the
Court that ,Alton Smith, Special Deputy Sheriff, Ss now on a non-salary basis, and 1s available
to assist the Sher ifi during this con3ested period, end that Four Dollars per diem would be
a very reasonable amount for such services.
Therefore by motion duly made by Henry Eckstein, aeoonded by Powell, end unan lmously
approved by the Court that Alton Smith, be employed at Four Dollars per diem for the Sour days
as requested, end that the County Clerk draw voucher against the County Treasurer in the am~un'
of Siatean Dollars, payable to Alton Smith at such time said services are performed, same be in
payable out of the General Fund of Kerr County.
