Dear Judge:
I wish to call your attention to l!rticle 3912e, Sec-
tion 2, R.C.S., which requires that a certified copy of the order
of your Commissioner's Court be forwarded to the Comptroller
of c~ublic Accounts on or before the 31st day of January of each
year as to whether your county officials shall be compensated
on the basis of an annual salary or whether they shall receive
and retain such fees as are earned by them in the performance
of their official duties.
I shall thank you to transmit a <:opy of the order of
your Commissioner's Court to this Department as soon as it
is convenient, after such order has been passed, so that proper
calculations and apportionments be made which is required un-
der the provisions of this Act.
