The County Judge is authorized and directed to cause said notice of the election to be
posted at a public place in each voting precinct in said County and at the County Courthouse
door, which posting shall be done not less than fourteen (14) full days prior to said election,

be published in some nexspaper of general circulation published within said County, on the
same day in each of two (2) successive weeks, the date of the first publication to be not

of Leo Jenschke in the amount of $3,955.35 for various maintenance, bulldozer and air hammer
work on the County road in Precinct #1, and it appearing to the court that said amount is true
and correct and that Chas. Schreiner Road Fund has issued a credit memorandum to Mr. Leo
Jenachke for $1500.00 leaving a balance dne by Kerr County in the amount of $2,455.35 and
that said should be paidg therefore by motion duly made by Molter, seconded by Goff and
unanimously approved by the court, that the County Clerk draw voucher against the County
Treasurer in the amount of $2,455.35 payable to the order of Leo Jenschke out of Road & Bridge
#1 as per his statement and invoices on file.

ized monthly reports and tax receipts of E. H. Nichols, Tax Assessor & Collector, for the
month of June, A. D. 1951, showing the disposition of all monies owed to the State and County
collected by him during the month of Tune, 1951, with a certificate of audit by the County
Clerk as to his examination of said reports and stubs and as to the correctness as to names,
dates and amounts oa each, and it appearing to the court that said report together with Lax

No. 5258. ORDER AUTHORIZING SHERIFF TO PURCHASE LOCK WRISTLETS.
This the 14th day of August, A. D. 1951, came on to be considered by the court, the
application of Earl Garrett, Sheriff, to purchase for the benefit of hie office, one lock
wristlet for lunatic personsq it appearing to the Court that Kerr County does not have any
means other than the use of handcuffs on lunatic persons, and that without proper lock wrist-
lets such persons can be easily injured and in the discretion of the court, Sheriff Garrett
should be authorized to make such purchase. Therefore Dy motion duly made by Coff, seconded
by Powell and unanimously approved by the court, that Sheriff Garrett be authorized to pur-
chase lock wristlets or leather cuffs for the use on lunatic persons being transferred from
this County to State Hospitals.

application oY Lawrence Stephens, County Clerk, to purchase one 15" typewriter with a 14"
writing line, from Commercial Office Supply of Herrville, Texas, with the discretion left
to the court to retain or trade in a 14" Underwood typewriter with the tradein value of
332.50 or trade in a 11" machine for ;15.00. It appearing to the court that either of the
used typewriters can be used by any other office, such as the Taz Colleetora, for typing
automobile license and that to save the 37.50 a month for rental, and that the County Clerk
should be authorized to purchase from the Commercial Office Supp;y, the 15" Remdagton type-
writer with a 14" writing line at a pride to Kerr County of 3155.00.
