-- praying for a secretary or stenographer in accordance with Chapter +365, SB f1212, of the 52nd
Legislature authorizing a maximum salary of 22400.00 per annum, of which a pro rata portion,
according to the population of the County, would amount to (33.00 monthly for Beer County's
share. Wherefore, the court having considered the application, feels that if a combined
majority of the Commissioners Conrta of said Distract allow such employment, Kerr County
should pay 533.00 to the secretary or stenographer from the time of employment; therefore
by motion dulq made by Goff, seconded by Eckstein and unanimously approved bq the court that
the secretary or stenographeribr the District Attorney of the 38th Judicial District be
allowed the anm of 533• Per month provided a combined majority of the Commissioners Courts
of said district allox such employment, then the County Clerk ie hereby directed to draw
voucher on the County Treasurer for said amount to the secretary or stenographer employed
by the District Attorney, payable from the time of employment, out of the General Fund of
Kerr County.

No. 5297. APPROVAL OF COLLECTIONS OF COUNTY AND STATE TARES FOR MONTH OF JULY, 19$1.
This the 11th day of September, A. D. 1951, came on to be ezamined by the court, the
itemized monthly reports and tax receipts of E. H. Nichols, Tax Assessor & Collector, for the
month of July, A. D. 1951, showing the disposition of all monies owed to the State and
County collected by him during the month of Jnly, 1951, with a certificate of audit by the
County Clerk as to his examination of said reports end stubs and sa to the correctness as to
names, dates and amounts on each, and it appearing to the court that said report together
with tax receipt stubs, filed herein, era correct; therefore by motion duly made by Eckstein,
seconded by Powell and unanimously approved by the court, as audited by the County Clerk.

Ao. 5298. PAUPER ALLOWANCE TO TBMPLE H. SHELTON.
This the 11th day of September, A. D. 1951, came on to be considered by the court, the
dire necessity of a continued allovance Lo Temple B. Shelton, s resident of Center Point;
- ~~ wherefore, the court having on the 31st day of August, 1951, provided an allowance to Temple
H. Shelton in the amount of 525.00 anfl that said pauper is in a continued need of aasiatanea
and that the sum of 525.00 should be allowed by the court until further determination.
Therefore by motion duly made by Eckstein, seconded by Powell and unanimously approved
by the court, that the Covntq Clark be, and is hereby directed to draw voucher against the
County Treasurer in monthly installments Dayable on the 31st day of each month beginning
September 3Y, 1951, to Temple H. Shelton on the general fund of Rerr County until further
determined by the court.

TRANSMITTER UNIT.
This the 11th day of September, A. D. 1951, came on to be presented to the court, the
application of Earl Garrett, Sheriff of Kerr County, requesting the authority to purohase
one additions; mobile receiver and transmitter 60 watt unit for an additional deputy's auto-
mobile; and it appearing to the court that Bald unit would be attached to one of the two
deputy's living in an adjoining city Sn the County, which would bs of great assistance to
the Sheriff's Department and that same should be authorized.
Therefore by motion dulq made by Eckstein, seconded by Coff and unanimously approved by
the court that Sheriff Earl Garrott be, and is hereby authorized to purchase one additional
