D. 1951, came oa to be considered by the court, a me~- randum of agreement for agricultural extension work presented to the Commissioners Court by the Agricultural Elctensioa Service, Texas A k M College system, with reference to the fiaanola anpport of the county eztansion work on sa annual basis. It appearing to the court that at the present time Kerr County is assisting in the amount of $1800,00 per annum for its pro rata salary to the County Agricultural Agent and x1300.00 per annum :for Sta pro seta salary to the County Home Demonstration Agent, and that said amounts should be recommended for Lhe ensuing gear of 1952, for the said respective agents; that the Commissioners Court is is full aclmov- lodgment of the outstanding service performed by Gny Powell in the performance of his duties, as set ont in the letter of B, F. Bredthauer, Secretary and Treasurer of Texas County Agric- ultural Agents Association, Aefugio, Texas, bearing date September 6, 1951, requesting Lha County to recognize him for the highest award given 94 agent in the United States and to allow him to take a trip to the National Agents Assoniation's annual meeting in Memphis, Tennessee 1 for presentation, which begins on October 27, which in the dlscre tioa of the Court, should be granted, and that a letter of recognition be mailed to Mr. Powell for his outstanding services i performed for Kerr Covnty as County Agricultural Agent. Therefore, by motion duly made by Eckstein, seconded by Molter, and unanimously approved by the court; that the pro rata salary paid by Kerr County to the County Agricultural Agent and County Homa Demonstration Agent De recommended for the ensuing year 1952, as $1800.00 and x1300.00 per annum, respectively; that a letter of recognition be mailed to Guy Powell, County Agent, for his outstanding performances as County Agent of Karr County. -o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o- No. 5301. PURCHASE OF TWO ACRES FROM F. W. WITT*1.13 ACRES TO BE USED FOR RIGHT OF WAY KERAVILLE - INGAAM HIGHWAY +/27. This the 11th day of September, A. D. 1951 came on to be considered by the court, the purchase of a two acre tract of land belonging to F. W. Witt, fronting on the Kerrville- Ingram State Aighway 1/27. Wherefore, the court anlmowledges the fact that 1.13 acres are -. to be used for right of waq purposes and that .87 of an acre will be Sn excasa and would be advantageous to the County to purohass the total tvo acres at a price of x3,5oo.00; that Mr. Witt is willing to furnish separate deeds on the aforesaid acreage together with an abstract shoving a merchantADle title thereto; and that the court is of the opinion that the .87 of an acre tract may be sold by the court for an amount within the cloa• figure of the total host of the two scree purchased by the court and that such transaction should be made. Therefore by motion duly made by Eckstein, seconded by Goff and unanimously approved by the court that the County Judge be, and is hereby authorized to conauz®ate such purchase at a prise of x3,500.00 payable to Mr. F. W.
