It appearing to the court that at the present time Kerr County is assisting in the amount of $1800.00 per annum for its pro rata salary to the County Agricultural Agent and ;1300.00 per amum for its pro ante salary to the County Aome Demonstration Agent, and that said amounts should be recommended for Lhe ensuing year of 1952, for the said respective agents; that the Commissioners Court is Sn full aclmow- ledgment of the outstanding service performed by Guy Powell in the performance of his duties, as set out in the letter of B. F. Hredthauer, Secretary and Treasurer of Texas County Agri~- ultural Agents Association, Aefugio, Texas, bearing date September 6, 1951, requesting the County to recognise him for the highest award given 94 agent in the United States and to alloy him to take s trip to the National Agents Association's aanusl meeting in Memphis, Tennessee --, for presentation, which begins on October 27, which in the discretion of the Court, should be granted, and that a letter of recognition be mailed to Mr. Powell for his outstanding services performed for Kerr County as County Agricultural Agent. Therefore, by motion duly made by Eckstein, seconded by Molter, and unanimously approved by the court; that the pro rata salary paid by Kerr County to the County Agricultural Agent and County Home Demonstration Agent bs recommended for the ensuing year 1952, ae 31800.00 and 31300.00 par annum, respectively; that a latter of recognition ~be mailed to Guy Powell, County Agent, for his outstanding performances as County Agent of Karr County. -o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o- No. 5301. D. 1951 came on to be considered by the court, the purchase of a two acre tract of land belonging to F. W. Witt, fronting on the Kerrville- Iagram State Highway X27. Wherefore, the court acknowledges the fact that 1.13 scree are -. to be used for right of way purposes and that .87 of an acre will be Sn excess and would be advantageous to the County to purchase the total two acres at a price of 33,500.00; that Mr. Witt is willing to furnish aepsrate deeds on the aforesaid acreage together with an abstract showing a merchantAble title thereto; and that the court is of the opinion that the .87 of an acre tract may be sold by the oourt for an amount within the alone Slgure of the total cost of the two acres purchased by the court and that such transaction should ba made. Therefore by motion dulq made by Eckstein, seconded Dy Goff and unanimously approved by the court that the County Judge be, and is Hereby authorised to consummate such purchase at a price of ;3,500.00 payable to Mr. F. W. Molter, Commissioner Precinct #3, to lease from H. W. Lewis Equipment Company, one new Allis Chalmers Model BD-3 Motor Grader, Ser#al #1164, Motor #3A-7924 at $11,374.80 less a tradein on one used Caterpillar 10 Motor Grader at $1500.00, leaving an aggregate of $9,874.80; and it appearing to the court that Mr. Molter has been using the aforesaid equipment for a short period of time and is desirous of leasing same for a period of two years, which the court thinks advisable. Therefore by motion duly made by Eckstein, seconded by Goff, and approved by the majority of the court, with Commissioner Powell voting against such proposition, that Commissioner of Precinct #3 be and Ss hereby authorized to leas for a period of two years the aforementioned machinery payable to the H. W.
