It appearing to the court that the County Treasurer should be authorized to issue a check in lieu of the orig- inal thereof, and stop payment on the original dated April 17, 1952; therefore by motion duly made by Molter, seconded by Goff and unanimously approved by t;he court, that the County Treas- urer be and is hereby directed to issue a duplicate check to J. D. 1952, came on to be considered, by the County J~zcige, the vacancy that occurs in Commissioners Precinct #1, as a result of the death of Henry Eckstein, on August 6, 1952, and acting by authority under Article #2341., Revised Civil Statutes of the State of Texas, Alonzo Mitchell Guthrie, be and is hereby appointed Commissioner of Precinct #1, to fill the vacancy in said office for the unexpired term ending December 31, 1952.
