No. 5714. REDUCTION IN ALLOWANCE IN AE: MARY SHEPPARD, PAUPER.

This the 13th day of August, A. D. 1952, came on to be considered by the court, the
allooance heretofore granted by the court in the amount of $100.00 payable to Mrs. B. H.
Maddox for the use and benefit of Msry Sheppard. The court is of the opinion at this time
that the care and support of Mary Sheppard can be reduced to X50.00 per month, to begin .at
the pay period of August 14, 1952 and each month thereafter until further determined by the
court; therefore by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Powell and unanimously approved
by the court, that the County Clerk be and is hereby directed to draw voucher against the
County Treasurer in amount of $50.00 payable to Mrs. B. H. Maddox to be used for the care and
~I support of Mary Sheppard, payable against the General Fund of Kerr County, first payment to
begin August 14, 1952 and each month thereafter until further determined by the court.

actual and necessary expenditure o£ $69.00 incurred by him in the conduct of his office during
said month, and it appearing to the court that said report is true and correct and should be ~~,

by the court for~such expenditures therein.

No. 5716. AMENDMENT TO PAYMENT TO CITY OF KERRVILLE FOR FIRE PROTECTION TO COMMISSIONERS'
PRECINCTS 1, 2 & 4.
This the 13th day of August, A. D. 1952, came on to be considered by the court the del- i
inquent payments in the aggregate of $1,000.00 to the City of Kerrville under original Order
No. 3008, dated July 10, 19~ wherein Kerr County directed the payment of $500.00 per annum
payable $300.00 out of Foad & Bridge Precinct ~1 and $100.00 each out of Road & Bridge Preclncl
#2 and #4. Wherefore, the court is desirous of paying the City of Kerrville the proportionate,
amount due annually for the yeas 1951 and 1952 out of the Road & Bridge Fund o£ S4err County
instead of the respective Commissioners Precincts; therefore by motlon duly made by Goff,
seconded by Powell and unanimously approved by the court, that the County Clerk be, and is
hereby directed to draw voucher in the amount of $1,000.00 payable to the City of Kerrville
out of the Road & Bridge Fund for fire protection to cover the 1951 and 1952 delinquent pay-
ment due the City of Kerrville axxi boring 1n further accordance with Order //3008 of the Comm-
issioners Court Minutes of this County.

No. 5717. APPROVAL OF CLAIM OF SID PETERSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN AMOUNT OF $1200.00.
This the 13th day of August, A. D. 1952, came on to be presented to the court, the claim
of Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital for the county's one-half of expenses for indigent patients
from April 1, 1951 to November 1, 1951 inclusive. It appearing to the court that on March
12, 1952, an amount of $1200.00 was allowed at this time for the county's one-half of the ex-
penses for indigent patients to cover an additional amount due by Kerr County for the period
from April 1, 1951 to November 1, 1951, inclusive. Therefore by motion duly made by Goff,
seconded by Powell and unanimously approved by the court that the County Clerk be and is here-
by directed to draw voucher against the County 'Preasurer 1n an additional amount of $1200,00
payable to Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital out of the General Fund of Kerr County for the Cou-
nty's pro rata expense for indigent pa tlents for the period from April 1, 1951 to November 1,
1951, inclusive.

No. 5718. NOTICE FOA COUNTY BUDGET FOR 1953 AND LEVY OF 1952 TAX.
This the 13th day of August, A. D. 1952, after motion having been duly made by Powell,
seconded by Gnthrie and unanimously approved by the court, that the County Clerk be, and is
hereby directed to issue notice by publication in a local newspaper, to the effect that a
hearing will be held on the proposed 1953 County Budget and the levy of the 1952 tax, in the
court room of the courthouse in Kerrville, Kerr County, Texas, at 2:00 P. M, on Thursday,
August 28, 1952, which time and place is hereby set for said public hearing on said proposed
1953 County Budget and the levy of 1952 tax.
