~~ No. 5800 COUNTY CLERKS AUTHORITY TO ISSUE VOUCHERS TO LABORERS OF COUNTY COi~~vIISSIONER. This the 12th day of November, A. D. 1952, came on to be considered by the Court, the .~ payment of salaries of laborers working under each County Commissioner, oP Kerr County wherein, ~ some employees are desirous of receiving his salary before the meeting of the Commissioners Court, and it appearing to the court that presently Commissioners of Precinct ~'1 and #4 are presenting a sworn statement to the Chas. Schreiner Rank, Uninc., and collecting in cash the respective salary of etch employee, at which time said hang: retains 1°fo fee from said employees pay, for cashing. !'7herefore, the Court is of the opinion that it ~r~ould be more practicable to authorize the County Clerk to draw voucher against the County Treasurer for the exact amount of salary for each employee upon the presentation and sworn statement of each Commissioner as to its correctness; that upon receipt of such sworn statement, said vouchers are to be drawn in favor of each laborer, payable out oP the respective fund of each Commissioner's Precinct, pro- vided however, such precinct fund has a halance sufficient to draw said payment therefrom; and that the Clerk should then be directed to present such sworn claim to the Commissioners Court sitting at its next regular session, for approval and/or confirmation thereof; therefore by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Guthrie and the vote having been carried after Fowell and ^ i~:olter voted against said proposition and the County Judge voted in favor thereof, the County Clerk he and is hereby directed to draw voucher against the County Treasurer for the amount of salary said Commissioner has authorized the clerk to pay each lahorer as per his sworn affidavit filed in the County C'lerk's office; that said Clerk be and is hereby directed to issue voucher to each lahorer respectively, payable out of the respective fund of each commissionez's precinct as per claim filed by said com~.issioner's, provided however, said Commissioner's Precinct fund has a sufficient balance therein. The County Clerk be and is hereby directed to present said sworn affidavit on al]. vouchers issued to each laborer from the respective comm- issioner's precir_cts, at the next regular session of the Commissioners Court for the courts approval and/or confirmation. o- o-o- o -o -o-o -o -o No. 5801.
