D. 1952, came on to be considered by the court the provisions of Senate Bill #5> Chapter 465 Passed at first called session of the 44th Legis la t- G ~~ ure prescribing compensation of District, County and Precinct Officers to be compensated on a fee basis and be allowed to retain the increased maximum as contemplated under Article #3819a ' R. C. S, which also includes the increase compensation for the deputies for such various off- icers and the provision of Article 39L2a,Section 2, R. C. S. prescrlbi^g that the Peace Offlcex be compensated on a salary basis, according to the provisions of H. J. R. #36 of the 50th Leg- islature as adopted by the people in the general election of November 2, 1948 amending Section 61 of Article 16 of the State Consti tutl on as the same applies for the payment of salary of Sheriff and Constables in counties having a population of less than 20,000. It appearing to the court that it is to the best interest of Kerr County and its officers that all District, County and Precinct Officers of Kerr County, (with the exception of Public Weigher, Registrar of Vital Statistics and County Surveyor), and with the exception of the Peace Officers, be compensated on the fee basis and be allowed to retain the increased maximum as contemplated under Article 3891a R. C. S. Therefore by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Eckstein and unanimously approved by the Court that all District, County and Precinct Officers of Kerr Covnty,Cwi th exception of Public Weigher, Registrar of Vital Statistics and County Surveyor), and with exception of Peac Of £icers, shall retain such maximum fees as are earned by them 1n the performance of their official duties as contemplated under Article 3891a R, C. S. which also includes the increase compensation for the deputies of such various officers and that the compensation of Peace Officers be compensated on a salary basis for the fiscal year of 1952. Goff, Commissioner Precinct #4, $1800, The County Clerk be and is hereby directed to draw proper vouchers against the County Treasure Sn monthly payments beginning January 31st, 1952 of $150.00 each, payable to Henry Eckstein and Lee R. D. 1952, came on to be considered bq the court of the fixing of the salary of Irvin Parks, as Janitor-Custodian of Kerr County, Texas, and it appear ing to the court that Irvin Parks has rendered satisfactory service in the Daat and has assist in minor repairs to the Court House and has saved the county oonaiderable ezpenee byhis servic s, and that his salary should be fixed at $1800,00 per annum. 1 Therefore by motion duly made by Eckstein, seconded by Powell and unanimously approved bq the court that the salary of Irvin Parks, Janitor-Custodian of Kerr County, be fixed at $1800, per annum payable in semi-monthly installments of $75.00 each, beginning on the 15th day of January, A.
