C. S, which also includes the increase compensation for the deputies for such various off- icers and the provision of Artlc le 3912a,Section ?, R. C. S, prescribing that the Peace Office be compensated on a salary basis, according to the provisions of H. J. R. #36 of the 50th Leg- islature as adopted by the people in the general election of November 2, 1948 amending Section 61 of Article 16 of the State Constitution as the same applies for the payment of salary of Sheriff and Constables in counties having a population of less than 20,000. It appearing to the court that it is to the best interest of Kerr County and its officers that all District, County and Precinct Officers of Kerr County, (with the exception of Public Weigher, Registrar of Vital Sta tlstics and County Surveyor), and with the exoepti on of the Peace Officers, be compensated on the fee basis and be allowed to retain the increased maximum as contemplated under Article 3891a R. C. S. Therefore by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Eckstein and unanimously approved by the Court that all District, County and Precinct 0£ficers of Kerr County,(wlth exception of 1 Public Weigher, Registrar of Vital Statistics and County Surveyor), and with exception of Peac Officers, shall retain such maximum fees as era earned by them in the performance of their official duties as contemplated under Article 3891a R. 0. S. which also includes the increase compensatl on for the deputies of such various officers and that the compensation of Peace Officers be compensated on a salary basis for the fiscal year of 1952. D. 1952 and each semi-monthly period thereafter for the ensuing year 1952. D. 1951, came on to be considered by the court, the sala~ of the County Judge for the ensuing year, and it appearing to the court that said officer is ex-offielo County Superintendent and receives part of his compensation through said source and is entitled to retain his fees of office and that his salary should be fixed at $1320.00 per annum as County Judge and $300.00 per annum as Juvenile Officer of Kerr County; therefore by motion duly made by Eckstein, seconded by Powell and unanimously approved by the court, that the salary of the County Judge be fixed at $1320. per annum payable unt6 John R. Leavell in monthly installments of $110.00, the first payment to begin January 31st, 1952, and the salary of Juvenile Officer ba fixed at $300.0!) per annum, payable to said Officer in monthly install- ments of $25.00. FIXING SALARY OF THE ASSISTANT TO COUNTY JUDGE. This the 15th day of January, A. D. 1951, came on to be considered by the court, the salary of Agnes baCDOn81d, assistant to the County Judge for the year 1952, and it appearing to the court that said assistant is partially employed by the County and by the County Super- Sntendent; that she is receiving a salary from the common School Districts, and that she has been receiving $900.00 from the County, the court is of the opinion that said salary should be refixed at $900.00 per annum. Therefore by motion duly made by Eckstein, seconded by Goff and unanimously approved by lithe court that the salary of said assistant Agnes MacDonald, be fixed at $900.00 per annum, payable $75.00 per month beginning January 31, 1952, that the County Clerk be, and is hereby directed to draw voucher against the County Treasurer in said amount on the General Fund of " Kerr County. -o-o-o-o-o-o- No. 5413. FIXING SALARY OF COUNTY AGENT. This the 15th day of January, A. D. 1952, came on to be considered by the court, the fix of the salary of Guy Powell, County Agent of Kerr County, and it appearing to the court that said agent receives benefits from the Extension Service and that $1800.00 per annum should be fixed as his salary from Kerr County; therefore by motion duly made by Eckstein, seconded by Powell and unanimously approved by the court, that the salary of Guy Powell, County Agent of Kerr County, be fixed at $1800.00 per annum payable x150.00 at the expiration of each month, beginning January 31st, 1952, and the County Clerk be and is hereby directed to draw vouchers against the County Treasurer in the amount of $150.00 per month, payable to said officer out Road & Bridge Fund, of Kerr County. -o-o-o-o-o- ~ iNo. 5414.
