Nichols, Tax Assessor do Collector of Karr County, Texas, for his authority to trade in a 26 inch Underwood typewriter and two 12 inch Underwood typewriters for two new 15 inch typewriters, one being an interchangeable 26 lush carriage. Wherefore, the court having con- sidered that the county has two 26 inch carriage Unflerwood machines beyoAd repairing, one of which belongs to the County Clerk's office and the other two to the County Tax Colleotor's "-1 I G ~ Q office and that these two machines are used jointly by said two offices and that in their dis- C~a creti on, the Tax Collector and County Clerk should jointly exchange, 1n thia-discretion, the inch two 26/ Underwood machines and the two 12 inch UrideFwood typewriters being used by the Tax Collector`s office for two 15 inch typewriters with interchangeable carriages from 15 inch to 26 inch, providing that in their discretion a reasonable allowance is made for the old machines on the purchase of the nev typewriters. APPLICATION HY TAR ASSESSOR AND COLLECTOR FOR FOUR DEPUTIES AND ASSISTANTS F(It AN EXPENDITURE OF $10,400.00. This the 15th day of January, A+ D. 1952, came on to be presented to the court, the appli~ cation of E. H. Nichols, Tax Assessor and Collector of Kerr Covnty, Texas, requesting four reg~ ular deputies at a probable salary of $9,400.00 and extra help and typist at a probable salary of $1,000.00, aggregating a proposed salary of $10,400.00 for the ensuing year 1952. Such application shows that the proposed receipts for said office for the current year will be x18,900.00 and the probable disbursements not included in deputies applied for above, in the approximate amount of $15,500.00.
