APPLICATION BY TAR ASSESSOR AND COLLECTOR FOR FWR DEPUTIES AND ASSISTANTS FDR AN EXPENDITURE OF $10,400.00. This the 15th day of January, ~: D. 1952, came on to be presented to the court, the appli cation oŁ E. H. Nichols, Tax Assessor and Collector of Kerr County, Texas, requesting four reg ular deputies at a probable salary of $9,400.00 and extra help and typist at a probable salary of $1,000,00, aggregating a proposed salary of $10,400.00 for the ensuing year 1952• Such application shows that the proposed receipts for said office for the current year will be $18,900,00 and the probable disbursements not Secluded 1n deputies applied for above, in the approximate amount of $15,500,00. Wherefore the court is of the opinion that said application Ss out of proportion and that such Assessor and Collector should be allowed the quanity of deputies and assistants applied for but that the first deputy should not be allowed over $2700.00 per annum and the second not to be allowed over $2250.00 per annum, the third and fourth, and any other assistants therein should not be allowed over a salary of $1875.00 per annum; therefore by motion duly made by Molter, seconded by Eckstein and unanimously approved by the court that the deputies and/or assistants of the Tax Assessors office shall not be paid a salary exceeding $2700.00 Ser first deputy, $2250.00 for second deputy and $1875.00 for the third and fourth and any other additional deputies and/or ass,istanta thereof payable during the current year 1952. -o-o-o-o-o-o- No. 5428. Nichols, Tax Assessor & Collector of Kerr County, Texas, for his a: thority to deputize Mares Blake as Deputy Tax Assessor & Cpllector of Kerr County at a salary not to exceed $1875 Per . annum, and it appearing to the court that said officer is entitled to said deputy and that said appointment should be approved and said deputy's salary shall not exceed the sum of $1675.00 per annum; therefore by motion duly made by Eckstein, seconded by Goff and unanimous- ly approved by the court that said appointment is to become effective the 2nd day of January, 1952 and continue in effect until revoked by said officer or to be otherwise terminated, and that said deputy's salary shall not exceed the sum of $1875.00 per annum. -o-o-o-o-o-o- No. 5429.
