Texas A. & i~'. College system, requests an additional :,'~60U.OC increase for Kerr County's pro
rata share for said salary. ',4~herefore, the court has the knowledge that the aggregate salary
paid or to be paid a Home Demonstration Agent is ~!3967.G0, including travel allovaance, and
that in order to furnish another Home Demonstration Agent to Kerr County, it will be necesssry
to increase Kerr County's pro rata part of said salary ;;.1300.00 to w16G0.00 per annum. There-
fore motion duly made by Powell, seconded by Guthrie, and unanimously approv~sd by the court
that Kerr County's pro rata part of salary for the Kerr County Home Demonstration Agent be in-
creased from ''1300.00 to •;'1600.00 per annum to be payable out of the General Fund of Kerr
County to the County Home Demonstration Agent, beginning from. the time of employment, and
to continue for the ensuing year 1953, in monthly installments of X133.33 each by voucher drawn
by the County Clerk on the County Treasurer.

No. 5908. FIXING THE SALARY OF THE COUNTY JUDGE.
This the 16th day of January, A. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the court, the
salary of the County Judge for the ensuing year, and it appearing to the court that said officer
,-. is ex-officio County Superintendent and receives part of his compensation through said source,
and is entitled to retain his fees of office and that his salary should be fixed at ~132U.00
per annum as County Judge and :300.00 per annum as Juvenile Officer of Kerr County; therefore
by motion duly made by Bartel, seconded by Goff, and unanimously approved by the court, that
the salary of the County Judge be fixed at 71320.00 per annum payable to John H. Leavell in
monthly installments of :f 110.00 the first payment to begin January 31st, 1953, and the salary
as Juvenile Officer be fixed at z3U0.G0 per annum, payable to said officer in monthly install-
menu of ";25.00. The County Clerk be, and is hereby authorized and directed to draw vouchers
against the County Treasurer in the amount of :~110.OU monthly out of the Road & ?ridge Fund,
:;^25,00 each month out of the General Fund of Kerr County, and said officer is further authorized
to retain the maximum fees of said office according to law.

This the 16th day of January, A. D. 1953, after motion having been made by Guthrie, se-
conded by Powell, and unanimously approved by the court that the salaries of the Commissioners
of Kerr County for the ensuing year of 1953 be fixed as follows to-wit:

V. D. Poviell, Commissioner, precinct No. 2, y1500.00 salary and ~r300.U0 traveling expense;
Adolph partel, Commissioner, Precinct No. 3, ;x1500.00 and y,300.00 traveling expense and Lee
Goff, Commissioner, Precinct No. 4, '•1'1800.00 salary and ~„600.00 traveling expense. The County
Clerk be and is hereby directed to draw vcuchers against the County Treasurer in monthly pay-
men u , beginning January 31st, 1953 in the amount of :150.00 each, out of the General Fund,
payable to L. T... Guthrie and Lee Goff, together with •;;50.00 payable to each of said officers,
payable out of their respective Road and pridge Precincts for traveling expense, and the month-
ly salaries of w125.00 each, payable to V. D. Powell and Adolph Bartel out of the General Fund,
together with "25.00 monthly payable to each of said officers for traveling expenses, out of
their respective road and bridge Precincts.
