^n this the 9th day of February A. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the Court the
vacancy in the office of County Surveyor, and it appearing to the court that a County Surveyor
should be appointed to fill the vacancy of said office; that said office should be dec:Lared
vacant and a new County Surveyor be appointed, that Louis Dominguis would be a qualified person.
Therefore by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Powell, and unanimously anproved by the
court, that the office of County Surveyor of Kerr County shall be in all things considered va-
cant, and that Louis Dominguis, being qualified and desirous to serve in the capacity of said
office, be and he is hereby appointed by the Court to the office of County Surveyor of Kerr
County, Texas, and he is hereby directed to qualify for said office 'c.y making bond in the sum
of k.1000.00 and taking the oath of office as required by law.

This the 9th day of February A. D. 1953, came on to be examined by the court the official
bonds of Louis Dominguis as County Surveyor and Albert Vdilson,Publ.ic 47eigher of Kerr County,
and it appearing to the Court that said bonds are good and sufficient and that same should be
approved by the Court. Therefore by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Guthrie, and unan-
imously approved by the court and said officers be and are hereby directed to take the proper
oath of office as required by law, and said bonds shall be recorded by the County Clerk in the
proper record of his office.

No. 5941. APPROV.~aI. OF CLAIMS AND ACCOUNTS.
This the 9th day of February :~. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the court, the claims
and accounts filed against Kerr County, since the last term of this court, against the General
Fund, Road and Bridge, Road and Bridge No. 1, Road and Bridge No. 2, Road and Bridge No: 3,
Road and Bridge No. 4, and Kerr County Lateral Road and Bridge No. 3. It appearing to the court
that said claims and accounts filed against each fund should be paid, and that a confirmation
should be entered on Road Bills against Road and Bridge No. 1, and 4, as per sworn statement
filed with the County Clerk. Therefore by motion duly made by Guthrie seconded by Bartel, and
unanimously approved by the court and the County Clerk be and is hereby directed to draw
vouchers against the County Treasurer in like amounts payable out of respective funds to the
parties entitled thereto and the road bills be confirmed as paid, as per sworn statements filed
~:ith the County Clerk.

This the 9th day of February, A. D. 1953 came on to be considered by the court, the signed
order by Ross E. Doughty, District Judge, directing that Clifford Lawrence and Glenn Fetsch,
Attorneys at law, be entitled to'"p30.00 for criminal cases as defending attorneys in District
Court. It appearing to the court that Judge Douf__=,hty reports that said attorneys represented
three defendants in Causes No. 1973, 1966, and 1967, and that they are entitled to ~1C.00 in
each case, payable out o£ the General Fund of Kerr County. Therefore by r.:otior, duly r,..ade by

T'~is the 9th day of February A. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the Court the choosing
of Chas. Schreiner Bank (Unincorporated) of Kerrville, Texas, offerir_g its services as deposi-
tory of all County, School and Trust Funds of Kerr County for ensuing two years, and v:ithout
~- payment of interest on dail,r balances and without service charge to Kerr Cowaty, Texas, and with
the understanding that any unnecessary bookkeeping now as being rendered by ;said depository may
be agreed upon betv;een Commissioners' Court and Depository is to be eliminated, and it appear-
ing to the Court that Chas. Schreiner Bank is the Bank chosen in Kerr County, Texas, for said
Depository, as no other bank submitted to the 1'ub is notice heretofore made by this Court.
Therefore by motion duly made by Coff, seconded by Powell, and unanimously chosen and
accepted by the Court and that said banY, is awarded the County Depository for all County, School
and Trust Funds of the County for the next two years at no interest on dpily balances and that
all unnecessary bookkeeping now as being rendered by the depository may be agreed upon between
Commissioners' Court and Depository is to be eliminated, and said Bank, is hereby directed to
make good and sufficient bonds as depository of each of said funds in the proper form pres-
cribed by law and submit same to this Court for approval.
