~ This the 10th day of February A. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the court the request
of James E. Nugent, County Attorney, to assist Joe Burkett, Jr., State Representative, for any
legislation when taken in connection with the building of the ';Var Memorial and act in coopera-
tion with the City of Kerrville and Kerr County. It appearing to the court that the County
Attorney should be authorized to assist in this capacity. Therefore by motion duly made by
Guthrie, seconded by Powell and unanimously approved by the court that James E. Nugent, County
Attorney be authorized to work in cooperation with the City of Kerrville and Joe Burkett, Jr.,
State Representative for any legislation that may be obtained in the erecting of the public
building of the PJar Memorial and Library.

County Social Security Fund to-wit:

Frori the Road and Bridge Fund to Kerr County Social Security Fund ~ 766.20
rFrom the Jury Fund to Kerr County Social Security Fund ~ 25.04
That this transfer is made from the aforementioned funds to cover the year 1953 figured on the

This the 11th day of February A. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the court, the re-
quest of E. H. Dlichols, Tax Assessor & Collector, Kerr County, Texas, for the Court to set the
rates for livestock, cultivated and grazing land.
It appearing to the court that the previous assessment fixed are as follovas to-wit:
n"0.00 per head for cattle; ?3.00 per head on sheep; ;$2.00 per head on goats; and X15.00
an acre on cultivated land and ^3.00 to :5.00 per acre on grazing land; and that in their --
discretion these rates should be refixed for the year 1953; therefore by motion duly m,sde by
Fowell, seconded by Guthrie, and unanimously approved by the court that the Tax Assessor &
Collector be and is hereby directed to assess livestock and land as follows, to-wit: Cattle

necessity for an audit for the County Officers books for the term of 1951 and 1952, an~i it
appearing to the court that the County Judge should be authorized to advertise for an auditor
to audit the records of the county officials for said term, therefore by motion duly made by
Guthrie, seconded by Goff and unanimously approved by the court, that the County Judge be and
is hereby authorized to advertise for an auditor to audit the books of all County Officials
for 1951 and 1952 term, including the Co°unon School District books, and present their estimate
cost at the regular Itiarch term.
