This the 10th day of March A. ,D. 1953, came on to be presented to the court the written
and oral proposition of three auditing Firms of W. R. Meredith, C. P. A., Kerrville, Texas;
Fred E. Pflughaupt, C. P, F,., Almo National Building, San Antonio, Texas, and Howard-Pope,
C. P. A., San Antonio, Texas. 'ilrierefore the court having published a notice for the auditing
of the Precinct, County and District Officers books for the year 1951 and 1952 and upon con-
sidering of the written and oral propositions filed, that 'N. R. Meredith should be awarded
said Audit Pot the year 1951 end 1952, to be completed by the regular May term of 1953. Thar
fore by motion duly made by Powell, seconded by Guthrie and unanimously approved by the court
that ':V. R. Meredith be authorized to audit the 1951-1952 County Books, covering all Precinct,
County. and Distriat Officers Books of Karr County, to ba completed by the regular May Term o
1953.

No. 5993. PLANS FOR INVESTIGATING COUNTY HEALTH UNIT.
This the 10th day of March, A. D. 1953, came in pereon 1n open commissioners court,
twenty citizens of %err County, requesting the organization of a Co uatq Health IInit of Kerr
County, and after due deliberation, the court is of the opinion that financial assistance may
be obtained from the State Department of Heslth and that adjoining counties may be desirous o
combining a health wait in this District. The Court is of the opinion that it would ba ad-
vantageous to Kerr Caunty and adjoining Counties to contact the State Health Officer for anq
particulars, and set a date for future meeting for the benefit of Kerr County end any adjoini
county that is interested, to ass iot in the organization of a health unit, and that the Count
Judge and County Attorney srio uld be authorized to make any and all arrangements in connecticf
therewith. Therefore by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Hertel and unanimously approve
by the court that the County Judge and County Attorney be further authorized to contact the
State Heslth Officer for all pertic ulars on such organization, together with any financial
assistance that may be obtained, and contact the Commissioners Court of the adjoining counti~
and set a date for a future meeting, for plans and organization of a Health IIn 1t.
