This the 10th day of March A. ,D. 1953, came on to be presented to the court the written
and oral proposition of three auditing Firma of w. R. Meredith, C. P. A., Kerrville, Texas;
Fred E. Pflugha upt, C. P. A., Almo National Building, San Antonio, Tezes, and Howard-Pope,
C. P. A., San Antonio, Texas. herefore the court having published fl notice for the auditing
of the Precinct, County end District Officers books for the year 1951 end 1952 and upon con-
sidering of the written and oral propositions filed, that W. R. Meredith should be awarded
said Audit Por the year 1951 and 1952, to be completed bq the regular May term of 1953. Them
fore by motion duly made by Povaell, seconded by Guthrie and unanimously approved by the court
that lY. R. Meredith be authorized to audit the 1951-1952 County Books, covering ell Precinct,
County, and District Officers Hooks of Kerr County, to be completed by the regular Mey Term o
1953.

No. 5993. FLANS FOR INVESTIGATING COUNTY HEALTH iJNIT.
Thia the 10th day of Meroh, A. D. 1953, came in person in open commies Toners court,
twenty citizens of Kerr County, requesting the organization oP a County Health Unit of Kerr
County, and after due deliberation, the court is of the opinion that financial assistance may
be obtained from the State Department of Health end that adjoining counties may be desirous o:
combining a health unit in this District. The Court is of the opinion that it would be ad-
vantageous to Barr County and adjoining Counties to contact the State Health Officer for any
partic ulers, and set s date for future meeting Por the bensf it of Kerr County end any ad jo ini
county that is interested, to assist in the organization of a health unit, and that the Co unf,
Judge and County Attorney should be authorized to make any and ell arrangements in connection
therewith. Therefore by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Bartel end unanimously approve
by the court that the County Sudge and County Attorney be Purther authorized to contact the
State Health Officer for all particulars on such organization, together with any financial
assistance that may be obtained, and contact the Commissioners Court of the adjoining co untie
and set a date Por a Put lire meeting, for plans end organization of a Heelth IIn 1t.
