~s~ No. 6012. MODIFICATION OF ORDER N0. 5905 ON SALARIES OF DEPUTIES FOR TAX ASSESSOR AND COLLECTOF AND COUNTY CLBRK. This the 12th day of March, A. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the court the actual result and meaning of order No. 5905 which actually reduced the salary of the first and second deputies of the Tax Assessor and Collector and the County Clerk of Kerr County. Wherefore, the court did refer to order No. 5024 passed as of January 10th, 1951 which authorized an additional 20~ increase for the year 1951 as a result of Article 39128, R. C. S. allowing the first deputy X2700.00 per annum, the second deputy 2250.00 per annwn and any additional deputy not to exceed X1875.00 per annum. And whereas under Order No. 5427 allowed as of January 15th, 1952, the Commissioners Court allowed the maaimum salary for the first, second and any additional deputy to remain the same for the Tax Assessor and Collector for the year 1952. And whereas, under Order No. 5436 the Commissoners Court allowed the first deputy for the County Clerks office to receive the maximum salary not to exceed X2700.00 per annum and each additional deputy thereafter in the amount of ~*1875.00 per annum fixed on January 16th, 1952 for the said year, and whereas, on January '?3rd, 1952 under Order No. 5467 the .- Commissioners Court authorized the second deputy of the County Clerk to receive the maximum of X2040.00 instead of X1875.00 per annum, providing the Pees of said office were sufficient to make such disbursement. And whereas on November 12th, 1952 under Order No. 5816 the Commissioner Court authorized the first deputies a maximum salary for the year 1952, to be changed to $2700.00 per annum instead oP X2250.00. It appearing to the court that the actual meaning of the aforementioned order No. 5905 passed as of January 16th 1953 did in Pact reduce the com- pensation oP the first and second deputies of the Tax Assessor and Collector and the county Clerk of Kerr County, and that it was actually not the intention to reduce any salaries of the deputies of the Tax Assessor and Collector and County Clerk and/or assistants of the afore- mentioned officers for the ensuing year 1953 and that it is the desire of this court to modify such order to read "that no increase or allowance should be granted under Article No. 39128 for all officers of District, County and Precinct officers of Kerr County other than the deput- ies of the Tax Assessor and County Clerk should receive for the year 1953 the identical maximum compensation paid such deputy Tax Assessors and Collectors and Clerks and/or assistants for the years 1951 and 1952." Therefore by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Guthrie and un- animously approved by the court that Order No. 5905 be modified when taken i.n connection with the maximum salaries for deputies of the Tax Assessor and Collector and the County Clerk of Kerr County for the year 1953 to be allowable under Article No. 39128. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o No. 6013.
