Nichols, Tax Assessor and Collector requesting an increase of the salary for his third deputy
IvIaria Blake. It appearing to the court that said officer is entitled to such increase as
per Article 3912g and that same should be authorized. Therefore by moticn duly made by Goff,
seconded by Powell and unanimously approved by the court that the third deputys' maximum
salary should be increased from X1875.00 to ~°250.00 per annum, to become ei'fective on the
pay period beginning March 31st, 1953 and said Tax Assessor and Collector be' and is hereby
authorized to pay said salary from the fees of his office.

No. 6018. FULL AND FINAL SETTLFN ENT '."JITH ROSA D. CLENTENTS, ET. VIR.
This the 25th day of March A. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the court the necess-
ity to make a final settlement with Rosa D. Clements et. vir. for the damage; to their resi-
dent building as a result of the widening of the Kerrville-Ingram Highway No. 27. It appear-
ing to the court that the structure of said resident is now located on saifi Highway right-
of-way, and consist of a concrete block structure on the outside thereof, and that it will
be necessary to set back, replace and rebuild the exact floor plan of said resident which
is 30 x 24 Peet including a porch. It will be necessary to rebuild the walks and extend and
reset the plumbing et a cost of X780.00; that the painting would cost ~60C.00; rewiring of
the house 4425.00, building of the walks and porch ~190.OC; 14iaterial X1180.00; Labor X1512.00
and floor covering in the amount of X210.00 and the replacing oP the schrub;>, labor, etc.
would cost X164.00. It appearing to the court that such structure is unmovable and it is
necessary that same should be rebuilt, and that the proposed cost on rebuil<iing would be
X5061.00 Dollars, and that such amount should be payable to h1r. end Ivirs. C1f:ments upon their
executing a proper right-of-way deed favorable to the State of Texas, and submitting an ex-
ecuted release for full and final settlement and forfeit a copy of the contract entered into
between themselves and Jno. R. Leavell County Judge, and Lee Goff, Commissioner Precinct No.
4. Therefore by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Guthrie, and unanimously approved by
the Court, and the county Clerk be and is hereby directed to draw voucher against the County
Treasurer on the Kerrville-Ingram Road and Bridge Right-of-way Fund, Highwa,T 27, payable to
Rosa D. Clements and husband, C. A. Clements in the sum of X5061.00 for rebuilding the re-
sidence of Rosa D. Clements and husband, C. A. Clements at a new location, and replacing of
the porch, walks, plumbing, painting, wiring, matFxial, floor covering and all labor, pro-
vided, the said Rosa D. Clements and husband C. A. Clements, shall present a duly executed

right-of-way deed covering the Right-of-'JJay on Highway 27 and submitted an executed release
of full and final settlement relieving Kerr County Prom any further liability and forfeit a
copy of the contract which said Mr. and A4rs. Clements hold, tivhich they have entered into be-
tween the County Judge and Commissioner Precinct #4.

COIINTY OF KERR On this the 25th day of March, 1953, the Commissioners Court of
Kerr County, Texas, convened in regular session at a Special term thereof at the regular meet-
ing place in the Courthouse in Kerrville, Texas, with the following members, to-wit:

being present, and among other proceedings had, were the following:
There came on to be considered the returns of an election held in said County on the 24th
dey of March, 1953, to determine whether or not the bonds of said County shall be issued to
the amount of 200,000.00, bearing interest at a rate not to exceed three (3'~) per cent per
annum, and maturing serially within fifteen (15) years frog; their date, for the purpos~a of
constructing an Agricultural and Livestock Exhibition Building in and for said County, and
whether or not there shall be levied a tax upon all taxable property within Kerr Country suffic-
ient to pay the current interest on said bonds and provide a sinking fund sufficient too pay
the principal at maturity; and,
It appearing that said election was in all respects legally held after due notice had
been given and that the said returns were duly and legally made, and that there were cast
at said election 1077 valid and legal votes, of which number there were cast:

AGAINST THE ISSUANCE OF THE BONDS AND THE LEVYING, OF THE TAX IN PA~VTENT THERE-

IT IS THER'.:FORE ORDERED AND DECLARED by the Comtn:ssioners' Court of Kerr County, '.Pexas
that the proposition to issue said bonds was sustained by a majority of the qualified ;pro-
perty taxpaying votes, who owned taxable property in said County and who had duly rendered the
same for taxation, and that the Commissioners' Court of said County is authorized to issue
said bonds and to levy and have assessed and collected said tax for the payment of the prin-
cipal of and interest on said bonds at maturity.
The above order being read, it was moved and seconded that same do pass. Thereupon, the
question being called for, the following members of the Court voted AYE: L, n^. Guthrie, V.
D. Powell, Adolph Bartel, Lee Goff, and the following voted N0: None.
