THE STATE; OF TEXAS: CO?JNTY OF KERR On this the 25th day of March, 1953, the Commissioners Court of Kerr County, Texas, convened in regular session at a Special term thereof at the regular meet- ing place in the Courthouse in Kerrville, Texas, with the following members, to-wit: Jno. R. Leavell, County Judge L. M. Guthrie Commissioner Precinct No. 1 V. D. Powell Commissioner Precinct No. 2 Adolph Bartel Com:.:issicner Precinct No. 3 Lee Goff Commissioner Precinct No. 4 La*,vrence Stephens County Clerk being present, and among other proceedings had, were the following: There came on to be considered the returns of an election held in said Covnty on 'the 24th ~'.ay of March, 1953, to determine whether or not the bonds of said County shall be issued to the amount of X200,000.00, bearing interest at a rate not to exceed three (3~) per cent per annum, and maturing serially within fifteen (15) years from their date, for the purpose of constructing an Agricultural and Livestock Exhibition Buildir_g in and for said County, and whether or not there shall be levied a tax upon all taxable property within Kerr Country suffic- ient to pay the current interest on said bonds and provide a sinking fund sufficient too pay the principal at maturity; and, It appearing that said election was in all respects legally held after due notice had been given and that the said returns were dui.y and legally made, and that there were cast at said election 1077 valid and legal votes, of which number there were cast: Pl?R THE ISSUANCE OF THE BONDS AND THE LEVYING OF THE TAX IPd PA~riENT THET?EOF' 564 VOTES AGAINST THE ISSUANCE OF THE BOD?DS AND THE LEVYIATG OF THE TAX IN PA~VTE[~TT THERE- OF 514 VOTES IT IS THER':FORE ORDERED AND DECLARED by the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, '.Pexas that the proposition to issue said bonds was sustained bq a majoritq of the qualified pro- perty taxpaying votes, who owned taxable property in said County and who had duly rendered the same for taxation, and that the Commissioners' Court of said County is authorized to issue said bonds and to levy and have assessed and collected said tax for the payment of the prin- cipal of and inter~:st on said bonds at maturity.
