D. 1953, came on to be considered bq the court, the necessity for the care and nursing of Riley Smith, a paralytic and an indigent person of Kerr County, Texas. V~herefore the court has previously disbursed for the care and nursing of said party the sum of X10.00 for a 24 hour day, that Phoebe Tredwell, 837 Clay Street, Kerrville, Texas, is willing to care, nurse, furnish linens, laundry and board to the said Riley Smith, in her own per month home for ~150.O:~,and in the discretion of the court such amount is reasonable and just, and should be allowed. Upon request of T?r s. Tredwell, she should be authorized such amount payable in advance and in monthly installments thereafter until further determined by the court. D. 1953 came on to be considered by the court the necessity for to grant a traveling expense/'the County Home Demonstration Agent,as this court has been informed by the Agricultural Extension Service Texas A. & Pd. College System, that Kerr County would not be offered a County Home Demonstration Agent for the salary allowed for Kerr County's pro rata part as fixed by this court on January 16th, 1953, under order No. 5907, iNherefore the court has been reouested that such traveling expense be allovaed, and that same should be revised and pro rated as a salary and traveling expenoe. It appearing to the court that in lieu of the aforementioned order No. 5907, passed by this court, that Kerr County's pro rata salary for the County Home Demonstration Agent be fixed at X1500.00 per annum, and that the traveling expense be allowed and fixed at X500.00 per annum for said agent and that upon employment of a County Home Demonstration Agent such salary and traveling expense should be figured at the rate herein granted and payable on the last day of each month for her services performed. Therefore,by motion duly made by Guthrie, seconded by Powell, and unanimously approved by the court that the expense be salary of the County Home Demonstration and trave~..is~ / revised and fixed at "1500.00 per annum as salary and $500.00 per annum as traveling expenses, payable out of the General Fund of Kerr County at the end of each month pro rated to any agent employed by this court. REVISIODT OF SALARY FOR COUNTX AGENT. This the 11th day of May, A. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the court the request of R. S. P~`iller of the County Extension Service Texas A. & P~?. College System to revise the salary of the County Agent for Kerr County's pro rata part in the amount of X2100.00 to be divided as 1.Ah $1600.00 per annum as salary and X500.00 per annum as traveling expenses in lieu of Order No. 5906, passed by this court on January 16th, 1953, in so far as the division of pa5m7ent :is con- cerned only. It appearing to the court that such requests should be granted as consider°able time is required in keeping the records of said agent's traveling expense and is useles:> due to the fact that such agent expends more than X500.00 each year for traveling. Therefore;, by motion duly made by Guthrie, seconded by Powell and unanimously approved by the court that the County Clerk be and is hereby directed to draw vouchers in the amount of X175.00 each month as salary and ,41.66 for traveling expenses, payable to said Guy Powell at the end of each month beginning It?ay 31st, 1953 out of the General Fund of Kerr County, Texas. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the Court, the claims and accounts filed against Kerr County, since the last term of this Court, against the R. & B. ~1, R. & B. {~2, R. & B. R. ~Y. Fd. F. P.?. 1350, R. & B. #3, Kerr Co. Lateral R. & B. #3, R. & :B. '~4, Gen'l. Fd., R. & B., and the necessity to confirm the weekly payroll of the laborers as per sworn affidavit filed with the County Clerlc for the week beginning April 19, 1953, through the week of May 9, 1953, inclusive, against R. & B. ~1 & 2. It appearing to the Court that said claims and accounts filed against each fund should be paid, and that the payment of the :Labor bills as per sworn affidavit filed with the County Clerk for the week beginning April 19, 1953, through May 9, 1953, inclusive, be confirmed as paid. This the 11th day of 2iay, 1953, came on to be considered by the Court the necessity to clarify Commissioner's Court Order ;5926 dated January 16th, 1953. It appearing to the Court that said order should read that the salary of the County Clerk be X2200.00 per annum, payable out of the General Fund of Kerr County, and X1550.00 salary per annum to be retained by the County Clerk out of the fees of his off ice, which constitutes an aggregate salary of X3750.00 per annum. Therefore, motion duly made by Guthrie, seconded by Powell, and unanimously approved by the Court, that the Court's intention of the salary of the County Clerk under order jj5926, dated January 16, 1953, be affixed at X3750.00 per annum, payable to said officer :2200.00 per annum out of the General Fund of Kerr County, and X1550.00 per annum to be retained by said officer out of the fees collected in his office. o-o-o-o-o-o-o
