This the 16th day of L'?ay, f.. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the Court the Right of
'!ay Deed in favor of the State of Texas, executed by Grace Holehamp, Archie Lee Stallman, Clara
Cantwell, and Erna Belova, conveying 1.176 acre out of Survey /,-`61, in the name of i;. T. Crook.
It annearing to the Court that each of said grantors are entitled to an aggregate of x235.20 as
a full co:~pensation for said land to be used for a new Right of '!ay Farm to Market Road ,=689.
Therefore, by motion duly made by Powell, seconded by Guthrie, and unanis;iously approved by the
Court, that the aforementioned Right of "r'1ay Deed be accepted in favor of the State of Texas and
that the sum of :j235.20 be paid to Grace ?iolekar.;p, Archie Lee Stal]rian, Clara Cantwell, and Erna
Below, for the tract of land consisting of 1.176 acre conveyed for the use of Right of ?.ray on
F. L.. 689, as a full and Final settlement therefor, of which said voucher shall be drawn on the
R. & B. R. "1. Fund F. '". 689.

This the 16th day of "?a,y, A. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the Court, the selection
of an architect for the erection of the '$200,000.00 Agricultural and Livestock Exhibition Build-
ing. ':;'herefore, the Court has heretofore advertised for the employment of an architect and
have been personally contacted in open court by at least six or more architects, and are of the
opinion that i:arvey `r. Smith & Associates would be the best cualified architect and should be
selected by the Court, subject to approval of the entering into of a contract with said ...°irrn.
Therefore, by motion duly made by Guthrie, seconded by Powell, and unanimously approved t;y the
Court, that Harvey P. Smith & Associates be selected and employed by Kerr County for the erec-
tion of the >200,000.00 Agricultural and Livestock Exhibition Building s, subject to enteriing into
a contract with said firm.
