RffiOLDTION TO PROPERTY OWNERS TO CONSERVE USE OF WATER FROM TAE GIIADALUPE RIVER. On this the 27th day of June, A. D. 1953, after motion having Deen duly made by Guthrie, aeoonded by Powell, and the vote having oarried, the following resolution was adopted, to-wit: "WHEREAS, the Guadalupe River has reached a stage auoh that the flow of water therein hen virtually ceased; AND, WHEREAS, that oondition seriously end adversely affeota the sooaamy of %err County and all of its citizens; AND, WHEREAS, the Commissioners' Court of %arr County, Texas, reoognizing the serious na tore of this situation, hen met in Speoial Session to consider the facts end oiroumstanoas sur rounding the extreme shortage of water now eaisting; and hoe detemnined that the pumping of water from the Guadalupe River and its tributaries is primarily responsible for auoh shortage; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that suoh shortage of water oreatea an amergenoy; AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that eaoh end every person now taking water from the Guadalup River sad the tributaries thereof, be, and they and eaoh of them ia, hereby urged to cease and desist therefrom. The Clark of this Court is hereby diraoted to spread this resolution on the Minutes of th Court, and to deliver to eaoh and every person so taking water from the Guadalupe River and it tributariea.e oopy hereof forthwith.
