RESOLDTION TO PROPERTY OWNERS TO CONSERVE IISE OF WATER FROM THE GIIADALUPE RIVER. On this the 27th day oP Juae, A. D. 1953, after motion having been ding made by Guthrie, aeoonded by Powell, and the vote having oarriad, the following resolution was adopted, to-wit: ^WHEREAS, the Guadalupe River has reached a stage suoh that the flow of water therein hea virtually oeased; AND, WHEREAS, that oonditlon seriously end adversely affects the sooaamy of %err County and all of its citizens; AND, WHEREAS, the Commissioners' Court of %rr County, Texea, recognizing the serious na• tore oY this situation, hea met Sn Special Session to consider the faots and ciroumstances aur• rounding the extreme shortage oP water now eaiating; and has determined that the pumping of water from the Guadalupe River and its tributaries is primarily reaponsiDle for suoh shortage; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that such shortage of water creates an emergenoy; AND, BE IT FORTHER RESOLVED that esah and every person now taking water from the Guadalupe River anal the tributaries thereof, be, and they and eaoh of them ia, hereby urged to cease aad desist therefrom. The Clerk of this Court is hereby direoted to spread this resolution on the Minutes of th Court, and to deliver to eaoh and every person eo taking water from the Guadalupe River end it tributariea.a oopy hereof forthwith.
