tion of E. H. Tdichols, Tax Assessor and Collector of Kerr County, applyirg for his third advance-
ment on 1953 assessing corrm!is:ions. It appearirg to the Court that such advancement should be
made and payable out of the R. k B. Fund of Kerr County. Therefore, by motion duly made by
Bartel, seconded by Guthrie, and unanimously ap~roved by the Court, that County Clerk be, and is
hereby directed to draw voucher against the County Treasurer in the amount of X500.00 payable to

This the 10th da~T of August, ~,. D. 1953, came on to be opened, three bids for the erection
of a gas burner and the layir:~; of a pipe line to said burner in the Court House. It appearing
to the Court that the bid of Jack Hacr:pson consisted of laying a pipe line at the price of w189.50
installation of a gas burner in the amount of w880.00, with the option of a safety valve at a
cost of X42.00, the aggregate bid being in the amount of x"1,111.50. The bid of J. T. ~~illia.,:s,
which covered the laying of the gas pipe line and the installation of a gas burner w+as in the
a&gregate of X937.('0. The Lone Star Gas Co. presented a bid on the furniohinFr and erection of
the gas burner only in the aggregate amount of X962.00. Therefore the Court 'is of the opinion
that the awarding of said bids should be withheld ur_til proper inspection is r•_ade by the Inspec-
,^, for of the City of Kerrville. Therefore, by motion duly made by Guthrie, seconded by Powell,
~ and unanimously approved by the Court that the awarding of the bias for lay in; the
gas line and
erectir_g the gas burner be withheld until an approval is made by the City Inspector.

is approximately x17,662.50 surplus, in the County :toad District Highway Fund at the end of this
fiscal year, of which there will be a credit of ?9,511.19 due the Sinking Funds of ?:err County's
eligible road bond issues, which amount +:ei11 be sufficient to pay the entire county's proportion
of this indebtedness for the next fiscal years, and,

is approximately ;8,1.51.31 remaining to the credit of Kerr County in the Lateral Road Fund which
is available to Kerr County, to be used for the construction or improvement of the Kerr County

by the Court, that Kerr County request of the Board of County and District Road Indebtedness, to
forward said funds to the Treasurer of Kerr County; and it is further ordered that all of the
