D. 1953, came on to be opened the sealed bids for the topping of the Arcadia Loop, located 2a miles West of Kerrville off Highway 27, being 6,947 Peet or 1.316 miles of pavement, 18 feet wide; and that portion of Oak Park Road extending Prom the present paved loop through Oak Park connecting with the State Tubercular Hospital Road a distance of 1x17 Peet or 0,344 miles of pavement, 20 Peet wide, as per specifications on file in the office oY the County Clerk and County Judge. The sealed proposals were opened in open Court; The Hill Country Construction Company entered only a statement as to why such firm did not bid, and Killian-Keller Company bid X7,966.50 for the keg job on the two aforementioned pro- jects. 'therefore, the Court having considered the bid of Killian-Keller Company, is of the opinion that said bid should be rejected, and that the Bank Money Order in the amount of X850.00 be returned to said contractor. Therefore, by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Bartel, and unanimously approved by the Court, that the bid of Killian-Keller Company be rejected, and that the County Clerk be, and is hereby directed to return the Bank Money Order in the amount of X850.00, to said firm. o-o-o-o-o-o-o No. 6290. D. 1953, came on to be examined by the Court the annual report of County School Funds for scholastic year ending August 31, 1953, for the State Depart- ment of Education, prepared by Chas. Schreiner Bank (Uninc.) County Depository of school funds, and it appearing to the Court after thorough examination, that same should be approved as veri- fied by the County Superintendent, Jno. R. Leavell; therefore, by motion duly made by Guthrie, seconded by Goff, and unanimously approved by the Court, and as verified and audited by the County Superintendent; and that the County Clerk be, and is hereby directed to forward a copy of said report to the State Department of Public Education, Austin, Texas, and to the Chas.
