This the 12th day of October, A. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the Court, the appoint•
ment of A. H. Sams, Jr., as Court Reporter by District Judge Ross E. Doughty, and it appearing
-~ to the Court that said reporter is entitled to X834.63 for Kerr County's pro rata share of his
salary, and that the County Clerk and County Treasurer be, and are hereby directed to issue
voucher in his favor in equal monthly installments during his employment, and are Further auth-
orized to peg any other Court Reporter the like amount at such time a vacancy occurs, to be pay-
able out of the Jury Fund. Therefore, by motion duly made by Bartel, seconded by Powell, and
unanimously approved by the Court that the County Clerk and County 't'reasurer be, and are hereby
directed to draw voucher in favor of A. H. Sams, Jr. and/or his successor by appointment, in
equal monthly installments figured at the rate of 834.63 per annum, out of the Jury Fund of
Kerr County, on the last day of each month.

Special Commissioners, the sum of 3.00 each for each day's service and x.06 per mile in Cause
Nos. 409 and 410, entitled The State of Texas vs. J. M. Stooksberry, et nx and R. M. M-ontel, et
ux, respectieely, to be paid out of R. & B. R. W. Fund F. M. 689.

Treasurer be, and are hereby directed to withdraw the X8,000.00 Jury Fund Time Deposits, together
with the interest thereon, from the Charles Schreiner Bank, Unincorporated, and redeposit said
amount in the Jury Fund of Kerr County, as said fund has presently a deficit.

This the 13th day of October, A. D. 1953, came on to be presented to the Court, the necess-
ity to pay the 3,°b Social Security aggregating $667.27, together with the administrative costs
in the amount of X30.00 to the Texas State Department of Public Welfare, Austin, Texas. It ^
appearing to the Court that the Social Security and Administration Costs for the quarter ending
September 30th, 1953, should be paid to the Texas State Department of Public Welfare, as of even
date herewith, and should be drawn on the Social Security Fund of Kerr County. Therefore, by
motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Bartel, and unanimously approved by the Court that the
County Clerk be, and is hereby directed to draw voucher against the County Treasurer in the
amount of X667.27 to cover the 3~ wages for the months of July, August, and September of 1953,
and $30.00 Por the administrative costs, payable to the Texas State Department of Public Welfare,
Austin, Texas, out of the Social Security Fund oY Kerr County, Texas.

No. 6313. CANCELLATION OF TAX RENDITIONS UNDER RECEIPTS NOS. 4763 AND 4763, IN THE NAb?E OF THE
HEIRS OF C. B. BILLINGTOIvT, DECEASED.
This the 13th day oP October, A. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the Court the request
of Eugene Abbott, representative for the heirs of C. B. Billington, requesting the cancellation _
of the 1953 tax rendition on mineral interest against said estate, as said rendition erroneously
renders various mineral interests on various surveys of which the estate has no interest therein.
Wherefore, the Court is oY the opinion that said cancellation should be granted and that the Tax
Collector should issue a supplemental rendition on the correct surveys and mineral interests, in-
eluding the correct valuation thereof. Therefore, by motion duly made by Guthrie, seconded by
Bartel, the vote having carried as Powell did not vote, that the Tax Assessor and Collector be
authorized to cancel and issue a supplemental rendition on the correct acreage, mineral interest
and values thereon.

and accounts filed against Kerr County, since October 12th, A• D. 1953, against the General Fund,
R. & B. #1, R. & B. #2, and R. & B, #4. It appearing to the Court that said claims are true and
3ust and should be allowed out of the respective funds. Therefore, bq motion duly made by Guth-
rie, seconded by Powell, and unanimously approved by the Court, and the County Clerk be, and is
hereby directed to draw vouchers against the County Treasurer on all claims filed in like amounts
therefor, payable out of the respective funds to the parties entitled thereto.
