ed by the Court, and ordered filed by the County Clerk for Future reference.

No. 6316. INCREASE PETIT JURY SERVICE FROM X4.00 TO X5.00 FOR COUNTY AND DISTRICT COURTS.
This the 13th day oP October, A. D. 1953, came on to be presented to the Court by Ross E.
Doughty, District Judge, the authority of the Commissioners' Court, at their discretion, to in-
crease the 3ury service Por the County and District Courts Prom X4.00 to $5.00, and pay Yor meals
when held over at night on felony cases, as passed by the 53rd Legislature. therefore, the
Court is of the opinion that such services should be increased to X5.00. Therefore, by motion
duly made by Goff, seconded by Guthrie, and unanimously approved by the Court that the Petit Jury
Service Por the County and District Courts should be increased and allowed in the amount of $5.00
per diem and that the County is to pay for eaoh Petit Jurors' meal when held over at night on
felony cases.

This the 13th day of October, A. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the court, the need
to replace missing volumes in the County Legal Library. It appearing to the Court that there
are presently forty-three volumes oP the Texas Edition of the South ti'destern Reporter missing and
that H. T. McBrayer is desirous of replacing such volumes at the cost of202.10, which in the
discretion of the Court, should be purchased and paid Por out of the Permanent Improvement Fund
of Kerr County. Therefore, by motion duly made by Bartel, seconded by Guthrie, and unanimously
approved by the Court, that the County Clerk and County Treasurer be, and are hereby directed to
draw voucher in the amount of X202.10, in favor of H. T. McBrayer, to be drawn on the Permanent
Improvement Fund in payment of the following volumes, to-wit:

This the 20th day of October, A. D. 1953, came on to be examined by the Court, Froclamation
No. 2 of the Texas Game and Fish Commission, covering Gillespie, Kerr and Mason Counties in re-
gard to hunting, fishing and trapping, as directed by House Bill 267, Regular Session 53rd Legis-
lature of the State of Texas. It appearing to the Court that said Proclamation should be rejected
in whole. Therefore, by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Powell, and unanimously approved
by the Court, that the herein referred to Proclamation No. 2, be rejected in whole and that the
County Clerk be, and is hereby directed to notify the Game and Fish Commission of this action.
